I know it is hard to find the time to do extra work after work but do you have any side projects at the moment or plan on starting any? You can also write if you started a side project and never finished ( I know I had a few of those). I am really curios to see if people still do IT related content after work or if they do somenthing else. If you want I can even start: I try to post on my youtube channel at least once a week but it does show that I do not invest that much time in there at the moment.

Can I ask how the community handles Date Pickers? The GenerateDate action function doesn’t work for me because the field expects the user to select day, month and year from the date picker dialogue box. Date Pickers are commonplace so I can’t be the first to face this challenge, but I can’t find an answer anywhere?Thank you for any help you can offer. John

What do you spend more time doing during a day?Writing new tests? Fixing old tests?

Recently, I have started my first ever Meetup group and before that I already went to couple of developer meetups, but I was wondering what do usually expect on the Meetups you are attending (two standard talks + networking afterwards or just one longer presentation)? As the title states, what books would you recommend for one to read to improve in the field of testing ? These could be both technical and non-techincal.  I saw in one reply that James Bach recommends looking into: Epistemology Philosophy/History of Science Sociology/Psychology Cognitive Science Rhetoric/Critical Analysis Certain branches of mathematics: statistics, set theory, discrete mathematics, combinatorics.Any suggestions regarding any of the above mentioned topics ?  Thanks in advance :)

How are the points added and how can I check the tally against my activities?

Is testing an Art or a Science that everyone can learn? Is this inbuilt that needs to be refined, or it has to be acquired manually?

I’m new to games testing , so I was wondering if there are any tools out there which uses re-enforced learning or ML to navigate through the game ?The game is being developed in Unity and I know Unity has tools to script automated tests but I’m more looking for tools which automatically would be able to traverse the game.  is there a tool out there which would do this?

I want to ask a question that is both simple and complex to answer: How do you write your test cases?Why do I say it is simple?Well I mean according to some definitions testers write test cases and since they do it often it should be easy. Also there is a ton of information online on how to write a test case, what should it contain, so again, easy and simple.Why do I say it is complex?Well, a PM once told me that the tests should be written in such a way that a person coming from the street should be able to run them. I mean that is not impossible to do but it will take time, a lot of time. One has to find a way to explain concepts that are not really in the day to day dictionary ( API for example).I think that they want somenthing like this When tests steps are really clear - YouTube 16What do you think?
