This is a question that I get asked a lot, especially from people outside of the IT Industry. How do you answer this?
Hey ShiftSync Community!I hope you're all having a great day. I recently came across a fantastic video on YouTube that discusses software testing and the importance of bug reports. Here's the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgkhx7NqXCE&ab_channel=ResterTest.After watching it, I realized that writing an effective bug report is crucial for improving software quality and ensuring smooth user experiences. I believe it's a valuable skill for all of us in the tech community, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice on the matter. If you have experience with writing bug reports or if you've encountered bugs and reported them before, I would greatly appreciate any tips you could share. Here are a few questions to get the conversation started:What are the essential components of a good bug report? How do you effectively reproduce and describe a bug in your report? What additional information should be included, such as system details or error messages? Are there any b
Open source projects are always considered as dev-only contribution repos. is there any possible way that testers can also contribute to it?
Hi community, I have heard this many times: “Testers must be able to code”. Do you agree? In my latest video, I am sharing my point of view on this question. Do you agree? Is testing an Art or a Science that everyone can learn? Is this inbuilt that needs to be refined, or it has to be acquired manually?

I want to ask a question that is both simple and complex to answer: How do you write your test cases? Why do I say it is simple?Well I mean according to some definitions testers write test cases and since they do it often it should be easy. Also there is a ton of information online on how to write a test case, what should it contain, so again, easy and simple. Why do I say it is complex?Well, a PM once told me that the tests should be written in such a way that a person coming from the street should be able to run them. I mean that is not impossible to do but it will take time, a lot of time. One has to find a way to explain concepts that are not really in the day to day dictionary ( API for example).I think that they want somenthing like this When tests steps are really clear - YouTube 16What do you think? How do you do it?
