Today, I was sitting idle in my office after a long time 😁 and I wanted to learn more about Tricetis tools. Plus, this community was also strongly recommended to me by my colleagues so, today is the right time for me to join. 😊

Let me introduce myself then:

• My name is Abhishek Kaushal and I’m based out in Mohali (India)
• I’m currently working as Sr. Consultant - QA Automation with Bunge India Pvt. Ltd. from the past 7+ years
• I have a fair amount of experience in Automation QA (Selenium + TestNG + Java), Tricentis Tosca for non-SAP (Web) apps and performance testing using “Tricentis Neoload”. But after all these years, I’m always eager to learn new tools and technologies to improve myself. I hope I can contribute good to this community.
• I have a couple of hidden talents which only a handful people know is that apart from a professional, I am also a boxer and a guitarist by interest. I was a district level boxer in my college time, but I’ve continued to practice on my own for my motivation.
• From my POV, there are a huge variety of software in the market currently and in order to differentiate 1 software with another software with same functionality, quality is the most important factor that end-users get attracted too and use the software. Now quality for me is a good user Interface, reliable and secure to use that software with very less maintenance.

• I was born in Moscow and now live in Vienna, Austria.
   
• I believe I’m good at marketing and promotion, and that’s what inspires me a lot. It is mind-boggling how much of our daily routines and beliefs are shaped by marketing—like our breakfast habits, dental care, attitudes toward smoking, drinking, even shaving, and so on. 
   
• My interests are really diverse and change frequently. During COVID, I used to sell anime art commissions, now I’m into video editing, gym, and volunteering. 
  Among the permanent passions I’ve kept in my heart for years: horror movies, horror stories on YouTube, and cats.🐈 I have two adorable cats—Alice and Bob (those in IT will get the joke). 

• Why is quality important? Well… why is it important that planes reach their destinations or that laptops don’t fall apart when you pick them up? Exactly the same reason.

Hello, I am Malathi. I am from Tamil Nadu, India. However living in Seattle, WA, USA. Even though I studied agricultural and environmental sciences, established a career in Quality Assurance in the software industry. I have been QA Engineering Manager for the past 12+ years (to a team of manual and grey box testers) and also have hands on experience with web, mobile applications testing and backend testing. However, I would like to transition to an individual contributor who is able to lead QA function for an Analytics team on Azure. I am lost where to start in regards to API testing, Automation, Performance testing. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated. 

In my personal journey, I recently went through some health issues and brought down my cognitive abilities. I am rebuilding myself. In that journey, learnt a lot about intermittent fasting, food, mental health practices, mindfulness and being a parent to my kids (Son 16 years, Daughter 11 years). I would love to share my story and be a listening for anyone who would like to vent out. From my experience, I learnt that we need someone to talk to without being judged.

Through my career, I came to realize my hidden talent is emotional and cultural quotient which helped me for being a better people manager. 

Quality is important because high-quality results reduce errors, rework, and stress, leading to sustainable progress and it gives a sense of accomplishment and motivates continuous improvement.
