DevOps ways of working are designed to both accelerate the flow of work and simultaneously improve the quality, reliability and scalability of digital products. But research data suggests this hasn’t yet worked for everyone and that the majority of organisations are stalling in their implementations, unable to reach higher levels of capability. Where are you at with DevOps in your organization? Is it everything you hoped it would be?

This could be said in relation to one of the client I am working for and help them with DevOps: “Saying that our organization is at the beginnign of its DevOps journey is like saying a penguin is just learning how to line dance. Sure, there’s potential and it’s a noble goal, but right now it’s mostly awkward waddling and lots of falling over. Just like the penguin, the organization have two left feet when it comes to integrating Dev and Ops. But hey, even penguins eventual learn to slide!”
