For me, it was Notion. I’m maybe using 10% of its capabilities, but it’s still a game changer. As I said in one thread, I love to learn and I strive to learn daily, and this is where the Notion kicks in. As I learn I take lots of notes and its simple interface and easy-to-use shortcuts sped up the note-taking fivefold.

I’ve stumbled on it by accident. I think that the one guy I follow on Li has shared their book collection list through it. I liked the interface, downloaded it and since then I’ve been hooked :D

Disclaimer: I’m not associated with Notion in any way, I just really like the app :D :D

Hi,

for me most productive NON-testing tools are

  • Better Touch Tool for Mac to arrange windows and to have more keyboard shortcuts. I am using it already for years. I was so frustrated that Mac OS was so limiting when it comes to window management :).
  • Skitch for easy screenshot taking and editing. For me the best and fasted way to take screenshots, add info to it. Good for bugs and user stories to create.
  • Notion to organize for my YouTube channel. Before I was using Trello, but it got worse and worse, so I saw some people on Twitter using it and I gave it a try! Love it.
  • Canva to create great visuals. Since I am the creator of my YouTube channel, I needed a simple tool to create nice visuals, remove backgrounds and what not. I was trying out many tools, but Canva clearly was and is the winner for me :).

Thanks for creating this post!

Have a great day!

I agree with both Mario and Daniel. :) For a long long time, I was looking for an ideal application for managing both my tasks and notes and the same time. Tried a bunch of them, then I settled for a Google Keep for a while, but then I realized it wasn’t exactly my jam (the cards couldn’t be moved to whichever place I wanted them to move to, they could only be pinned, but it is just a personal preference). After some time I have discovered Notion and that one was probably the game changer for me. The only limitation there was my imagination.

And ChatGPT of course. Since it became popular, I have found myself spending a lot of time there, just looking for answers on some of the questions or problems I have been pondering with. Double checking all the outputs of course. :)
