How to run tests on localhost to trigger the auto-improve functionality

Hello,

I'm a college student, trying to gather more and more knowledge about test automation with AI. That's why I chose Testim, but my free trial expired already, so I can't try all the AI-powered functionalities Testim can offer.

My question is, if it's possible to run a web-app over localhost in Testim, to which I've implemented mutation tests? I'm aware that in the free plan there's only the Testim cloud grid, but still I'd love to reproduce the auto improve functionality of this Testool with my error-filled local code of the web-app. I've written tests with the localhost's URL as the starting point (my server built with Node.js and Express and gets run before the automated tests), but instead of the auto improved steps I get a warning that the locators have significantly changed. That's not quite the auto improve behaviour I'm looking for or the one displayed in the documentation.

Would someone be nice enough to lend me some of their thoughts on the matter and how I could trigger the auto improve functionality?
