How can you ensure that your SAP system behaves as expected?

a) with functional test (STA/ECT)
b) performance tests (EPT)
c) data integrity test (EDIT)
d) all of the above

@Kat Ensuring that an SAP system behaves as expected is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency. I believe that the best approach involves a combination of:

d) all of the above

Each type of testing plays a vital role:

  • Functional Testing (STA/ECT) ensures that the system meets business requirements and performs the necessary functions correctly.
  • Performance Testing (EPT) helps identify any bottlenecks and ensures the system can handle the expected load without issues.
  • Data Integrity Testing (EDIT) verifies that the data remains accurate and consistent throughout the system.

By integrating all these testing methodologies, we can achieve a comprehensive assessment of the SAP system's performance and reliability.

With none. A demonstration of some cases, does not mean the product is right in all cases.
“behaves as expected” is a very bold claim I would not make.

Sure, I can provide knowledge and some certainty about what I covered what I test. But not 100%.

Also expectations can be faulty. Especial the documents. And sometimes its a journey to find out what people really need.
