Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹

What do you think about being called a 'Software Developer in Testing' (SDIT)? Does that title describe your job accurately, or would you prefer something else?

I have been called many things, and I have to agree,

There's no one title that perfectly fits me.

But in the corporate world, where title do matter

A name like "Software Developer in Testing" does make the job sound better.

Yet in this digital domain where we tinker and strive,

A title more nuanced might help us thrive.

"Bug Buster" or "Glitch Guru," perhaps they might sing,

Or "Error Assassin," to tasks I would cling.

So while "Software Developer in Testing" has its place,

Let's find a title that captures our grace.

For in this journey where codes weave and twine,

A fitting title can make our efforts shine!

Brilliant and slightly melancholic @IOan πŸ˜

How would you like to be called? Error Assassin, Bug Buster or Glitch Guru?

Hi! πŸ‘‹ @Daria

"Software Developer in Testing" (SDIT) is an interesting titleβ€”it emphasizes both development and testing, which reflects the hybrid nature of the role. In many ways, it fits because we aren’t just testing; we’re building frameworks, writing automation scripts, and contributing to the development pipeline.

That said, I sometimes prefer the term "QA Engineer" or "Automation Engineer" since they encompass the broader aspects of quality assurance, from strategy to execution. But in the end, it’s less about the title and more about the impact we make, right? 😊

What about you? Do you feel SDIT covers everything you do?
